An end and a beginning...

Our Wii party went well... except for the fact that I came in 4th... that's not even a bronze medal. Of course the boys: dad, Zach & Neal were the final 3 competitors. It was a close bowling game, but Zach barely pulled ahead and well he was crowned CHAMP. Super fun, it may become a tradition. And the best part, I have all year to practice my bowling skillz. haha. It has been snowing like crazy, I took a few pics of the winter wonderland that we have been enjoying on Friday and thought I would share a few of them. I LOVE snow pics in black and white for some reason... kind of vintage and quaint don't you think?

Also found a new fave. song. It's "Here Comes the sun" by Sheryl Crow. It's from the Bee Movie soundtrack. Love the lyrics.Loved the movie too. It could be my theme song right now in the dead of winter!! You can listen to it here I'm still in an organizing kick. I love it. I have a good size load to take to the DI. Feels so good to simplify. I'm really loving thissite right now too for inspiration. :) I'm making some new years resolutions... I go back and forth, part of me thinks why?...so you can be let down when you don't make it to your goal, but I've been thinking alot this year about self improvement and you know what I've decided?Yes, I am going to make resolutions, because at least it's a step in the right direction, as long as I am improving myself little by little I feel like I'm on the right track. So Here's to 2008! I think it's going to be a really fabulous year!! I also like this girl'stake on things... check it out. I'm going to try to come up with one little word too that describes my goals for 2008. What would your word be??

Holiday Hugs...

I do a little Recipe exchange with some friends... I love new recipes! So I'm sharing one of the Recipes I got this last week.So good. So simple. Holiday Hugs Ingredients: Bite-size, waffle-shaped pretzels, Hershey's Kiss or Hershey's Hug and M&M's candy Step 1: Heat the oven to 170ยบ. Set a number of bite-size, waffle-shaped pretzels (one for each treat) in a single layer on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, then top each pretzel with an unwrapped Hershey's Kiss or Hershey's Hug. Step 2: Bake for 4 to 6 minutes (the white chocolate will melt more quickly), until the chocolates feel soft when touched with a wooden spoon. Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and quickly press an M&M's candy into the center of each Kiss. Step 3: Allow the treats to cool for a few minutes, then place them in the refrigerator to set, about 10 minutes. PS we tried this with rolos... it was absolutely divine!! (I personally liked this better than just the hugs or hershey kisses. mmm. mmm. good. Also thought I'd share one of the Christmas cards I made this year... And...just a few more fun sites that me and Brooklyn have been having fun playing with, ...Build a Gingerbread House and alsoMake a Flake Happy Friday!

Life is SO good...

Okay I have a bunch of fun stuff I wanted to share with you all. So here we go... First of all look at this cute backpack, it's perfect for library books and you can get it RIGHTY RIGHT HERE! for free! Next I've been going crazy after Brooklyn's Birthday it seemed we just had too many toys and not enough space to organize or put them away. Brooklyn woul just dump the huge baskets they were in trying to find her phone or her dolly. So anyway I've been searching for a good solution and found these, just got them in the mail yesterday... I love that they stack up are light weight and can seperate her toys for her easy access. Plus they come in several different colors you can check them out The Container Store! That feels so good to have done! And Brooklyn has actually played all day long, it's like she has all new toys to keep her busy! Well I saved the best for last, this is awesome... take a look atThe Rexburg Temple! We are so blessed to have been able to watch this Temple be built. I am so looking forward to going to the open house next month!

Christmas Potpourri...

Mmmm... What's better than the scent of Christmas? I love peppermint, cinnamon, cloves, oranges, pine, vanilla, yummy aromas can be found everywhere! This is something I made as a little gift for the girls I go Visiting Teaching to and a few of our other friends for party favors etc. It's Christmas Potpourri. You just place a few slices of fresh oranges, lemons & limes, sprinkle whole cloves and 4 or 5 cinnamon sticks into a pot. Fill the pot with water, covering the potpourri mixture. Bring to a boil and turn down to low. Let simmer, adding water as needed. The potpourri mixture will last approx. one week. And will fill your home with a delicious aroma. I actually have a few ways I like to freshen up my home... here's my all time favorite... it's the Wall Flower's at Bath & Body works! They have scents for EVERY season, I have Cinnamon & Clove in my wall flower right now. They last about a month or more! And who doesn't LOVE a good candle. I think my favorite are the Salt City Candles During the Christmas season, I'm burning Pepperberry Wreath. So there you have it holiday scent 101. :) Hope you are having a wonderful Holiday Season!
