My Thought Train, want to ride it with me?

Here is some randomness for you. These are some of the thoughts going through my mind right now.

This WIND is driving me CRAZY!!!! Absolutely insane. :o/

Does it make me weird if I vacuum at least once a day? It honestly makes me feel like my whole house is clean if I have vacuum lines in my carpet! :) From the looks I got I can tell that yes, yes it does make me a little psycho.

I’m starving and I can’t wait to try this for dinner:

{EDIT: It was completely AMAZING!!! This is my new FAVORITE sandwich! YUM YUM YUM} Recipe HERE.

I seriously love trying new recipes it’s almost like going on vacation- it’s something new & out of the ordinary- it makes cooking dinner not such a chore!

Mmm… those Poppy seed pancakes last week were pretty amazing too! Recipe HERE.

Do I have all the stuff ready to go for YW tonight? Pop bottles check, glue dots, check, scissors check, treat- oh no I didn’t even think about a treat- it would probably make their hands too messy anyway. Right?! We are making these for a Father’s day gift for the men at church: but we changed the quote on them to say

“Some People don’t believe in Heroes but they haven’t met my “POP”

If you want a copy of our ties- e-mail me at sunshineinmysoul_33(at)yahoo

Wonder what my sisters are doing right now, I sure miss them. Wish they were here to do a craft with me or just sit around and talk, and laugh, and laugh some more!

thinking about family. my little family. Mmm. Sure do LOVE them.

lol.

great reminder- LOVE that mom that jumps in the rain with her kids! That is the kind of mom I want to be!!

Do you ever feel like this? Sometimes I have to grit my teeth so I don’t hurt them! ha! ;)

Zach dies laughing at my thought trains that run through my head.  I am a complex person I guess. Haha, NOT! My brain literally jumps from one thing to the next constantly. He calls it Randomnimity. Do you have it too? Please tell me I’m not the only one. :) Happy Thursday!

Mouse in the house…

Winner of the Purse Organizer is…
brought to you by random.org
#12  JANET
I will get your purse organizer to you asap! Enjoy!

It’s Tuesday & it’s already been one heck of a week! Love that. OR NOT. I try not to be negative, but sometimes, you just gotta break down, shed some tears, cancel your to do list and take a nap! :) Do you mind if I vent?!

We layed sod on Saturday, {THANK YOU ALL WHO HELPED! WE HAVE THE BEST FAMILY EVER!!!} and that made for a LONG weekend, I’m blaming all of this emotional mess on lack of sleep- and that’s my disclaimer!
First off I had some appointments I had to be at early Monday morning so we were already hurried and I left the house a mess, I HATE doing that!!! It drives me insane actually I wish more than anything I wasn’t one of those psycho people  but I am. So when I got home I was super rushed, we just sold our last home, and they called to say the keys weren’t working in the door! Plus a super sweet neighbor had asked us to come over for a BBQ, I hadn’t made my salad yet or picked up our chicken. I was racing around my messy house feeling very chaotic and crazy. I went down stairs to put something away when I notice we have a mouse in our window well,
house-mouse
it had chewed through the screen and was now stuck in between the windowpane & screen, so I start tapping on the glass thinking he will move back out through the hole, it starts to work so I tap a little harder and then CRASH! The whole dang window shatters!
DSCN6453
Now the mouse is free to come in- but luckily he didn’t- I have this gash in my arm that is fairly deep so I am stuck trying to decide do I go kill the mouse- or take care of my bleeding wound and go get stiches?! I finally get the wound to stop bleeding, call Zach & have a meltdown- he runs the keys to the new home owners, I go get the chicken & finish my salad and we end up being an hour late for our BBQ. I check on the mouse later that night and he’s still there huddled in the corner of the window well, I sort of even feel bad for the little guy. They are kinda cute. Then later the next day I go out and the mouse is gone… I start thinking what the heck? There is no way he could get in and not shatter the rest of the window down is there? I go inside and here Brooklyn screaming at the top of her lungs for me! MOM THERE IS A MOUSE COME & KILL IT- all while standing on the kitchen table and having a mild break down of her own. To make the rest of the story a little bit shorter- I chase the mouse around the house, corner it and then I killed him with my BROOM, no less!! I’m a dang mouse murderer! I was so ticked off that I didn’t just do it the night before, now I am sanitizing wherever I think he might have been. I am feeling a bit better since I haven’t found a single mouse dropping though! Oh and my wrist wound is healing pretty well too.
Cory Finn who built our house is coming over to SAVE me from another mouse meltdown and putting in a new window! I’m totally going to make a plug for him! He seriously does awesome work & will even save you from a mouse! If you need a custom home then I suggest you call him! Cory Finn Construction (208) 745-1363
We did get to go to the Blue Angels Air show too… AWESOME!

The White Elephant Gifts...

We had so much fun at the Christmas Party we went to on Wednesday! Thanks Travis & Sabra! This is where they had the party!

It was so cozy, this place holds 60+ people, if you are interested let me know & I'll e-mail you the website. Would be SO fun for a family Reunion etc.
Okay so on to the White Elephant gifts! We died laughing! The first one was Maxi Pad Slippers. This guy was hilarious, and even tried them on! haha.

The second one was Shaving With Barbie. I love this one too! You just buy a cheap $1 store barbie and cut some of her hair off, use double sided tape or a glue gun to put the hair on her legs. Add a shaver into the package and type up the words Shaving with Barbie and add to the package and you are good to go! You'll have to let me know if you use these ideas and how they went over. haha. There were some other great gifts too, not G rated for the blog though. lol.

A little Christmas tag from my sister! Thought this was fun, Ang... you & I had almost ALL the same answers! Can't wait for you to be home with us!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper--definitely. 2. Real tree or artificial? Call me lame but I'm all for the artificial, it's not so messy and all you need is a nice pine candle! Plus I'm sorta against cutting down trees... (right Hanna) hahaha. 3. When do you put up the tree? The day after Thanksgiving 4. When do you take the tree down? Around New Year’s 5. Do you like eggnog? Yes who doesn't like that extra 10,ooo calories a sip! I love eggnog shakes and I like to put in my hot chocolate! 6. Favorite gift received as a child? Pink beanbag chairs that all 4 of us girls got one year.
7. Hardest person to buy for? All the guys on my list! 8. Easiest person to buy for? My sisters 9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes a few, the one on my wish list though is the Willowtree set 11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Ugly Sweater 12. Favorite Christmas Movie? The Santa Clause (only the first one), ELF, and Miracle on 34th Street., Polar Express & Shreck the Halls 13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? All year long! 14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Probably to Goodwill! 15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Candied Almonds, chocolate covered pretzels, Carmel's, real oranges, hot chocolate with candy cane--all those yummy homemade goodies! 16. Lights on the tree? Yes! White for mom's tree & colored for the kids tree. 17. Favorite Christmas song? Oh my gosh, I LOVE them all! Big fan of Christmas music! 18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Home 19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yep all I gotta do is sing the famous song! 20. Angel on the tree top or a star? I like stars for the most part 21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? PJ's on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas morning 22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? I hate how busy it is in town and how fast this time of the year goes by--I feel like I have no time to just relax and enjoy it. 23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Hmmm... I am really liking the red and lime green right now.
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Rolls, ham and funeral potatoes 25. Favorite family Christmas tradition? We always had a small manger and we would go around doing good deeds for each other, every time we did one we would leave a piece of straw by the good deed or put one in the manger and see how soft we could make baby Jesus' manger for him. I want to start that tradition with my kids too.
I tag anyone who wants to play!
