Hawaii 2012…

Right before we left for Hawaii, Brooklyn tucked these cute little goodbye notes into our suitcases. I think she was hinting that she wanted to come too! We will for sure take them back when they are older!! She’s becoming quite the little artist. I kept this sweet picture with me all week, and it helped me not get so homesick for the kids!

Oh man, talk about dream vacation. I was in heaven. Possibly the best vacation we’ve ever been on! We only went to the Island of Oahu and stayed on the North Shore. We rented this gorgeous little house, just across the street from the ocean.

These little geckos would be all over our windows at night catching the bugs! I loved their little suction cup feet up against the glass!

We loved eating at all these ghetto Shrimp trucks and getting fresh fruit at these cute little road side stands!

These were my favorite treat while we were there! I should have bought bulk in them! :)

We loved watching the surf competitions at Sunset Beach.

We checked out Shark Cove. A fun little not-too-touristy place to snorkel. The waves were huge that day, so we didn’t get to see too many fish.

We thought it was kind of funny that there were chickens and roosters everywhere they just run wild!

We spent some time at the Temple. It was gorgeous!

Day 4

Hanauma Bay, snorkeling. I wish I was better at snorkeling! It was incredible and could have been one of my favorite things to do! All the fish! Every color of the rainbow!!

We also did a little jungle hike up near a little golf course. It was beautiful!

We ate at some really fun little cafe’s and cute little shaved ice places.

We toured the Dole Pineapple Plantation. Dole Whip. I still crave them. Best fresh pineapple I’ve ever eaten in my life.

We hit up the Boise State Broncos game while we were there too. We aren’t the die hard fan type, but it was really fun!

We also hiked up to this ancient Hawaiian Temple. puu o mahuka heiau temple. It’s kind of off the beaten path, not many tourists.

I was dying to see a sea turtle, I could watch them swim in the ocean for hours! They are so magical. We finally found some that had come up to lounge on the beach too! They were crazy cute!

Now we’ll just be counting the days till we can go back. Pretty amazing place!!!
